Tom Heck
Sports CommentatorTom is in his 8th season as a member of the Sunset Media sports team, bringing listeners of the high desert action from the grid iron to the hardwood to the diamond. He was the lead broadcaster in 2005 when the Burroughs High School football team captured its one and only CIF-SS Championship.
Tom begins his eighth season as the head women's basketball coach at Cerro Coso, and his 20th-year on the college level, also having coached and taught on the high school level for several years. His experiences range from being an NCAA Division 1 assistant to a high school junior varsity coach. On the collegiate level, Tom served as the head Women’s and assistant men’s coach at Northland Pioneer College (Arizona JC) and served as a men’s assistant at Sam Houston State University (Texas), California Baptist University, Chapman University (Calif) and South Mountain JC in Phoenix.
Tom is a full time faculty member in the Cerro Coso Physical education department. His hobbies include tennis. Tom is married to his wife Erika and they have one daughter, Metzli.Web Maintenance

Tim brings his computer & marketing expertise to The Coyote's web site, designing graphics and helping the station owners with electronic campaigns.
Tim is a Ridgecrest native, born and bred, and has been active in area sports most of his life. While he lives awasy from the valley in Las Vegas, Nevada, he mainstains a close tie to his friends and hometown.
Tim graduated from Burroughs High School in 1982 and was a member of the CIF-SS championship basketball teamthat year. After playing basketball for two seasonsat Cerro Coso, Tim moved on to California Baptist College where he became the school's first-ever Sports Information Director. While acquiring his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Tim also spent time offciating recreational athletics all over the Indland Empire.
Tim returned to the Indian Wells Valley to take the post of Sports Editor with The Daily Independent in 1993. He quickly turned the focus of the section onto local sports, covering events such as the Race Across America, Jr. Dawg Pony Baseball Championship Tournaments and Burroughs three consecutive CIF-SS Swimming Championships. He later moved to Indiana and was named the Hoosier State's Sportswriter of the year.
Tim is gearing up for wedding in July to his girl Dee and spends some of his free time pillaging the high seas in an online game called Puzzle Pirates. Tim's son Zachary, also a Ridgecrest native.
